Sola Abulu & Associates (SA&A) Successfully Hosts 1st Cohort of Accredited Strategic Communications Course
December 12, 2023: The 1st Cohort of the CPD Standards Office accredited Strategic Communications Course was held successfully online on November 30, 2023 via ZOOM. 19 participants joined in from 5 different time zones around the world, including Nigeria, Zambia, Cote D’Ivoire and Canada. The course was faciltiated by Sola Abulu, Principal Consultant of Sola Abulu Associates and showed participants how to develop and deploy an effective communications strategy through the use of the Strategic Communications Framework. The course also focused on learning how to use the Stakeholder Management Framework to understand how to manage audiences and stakeholders towards achieving desired outcomes.
The first half of the session focused on understanding the concepts of both frameworks, while the 2nd half of the day focused on syndicate exercises aimed at enabling the participants to think through real-life challenges impacting on business and reputation and use their understanding of the framework to frame the nature of the problem and decide what needs to be done.

It helps to understand the principles of communication before or as you begin to grow in the practise of it; as those frameworks help you to situate your thinking to focus on what is most important as opposed to what is being presented to you. It enables you to cut through the noise of the situation to ask the right questions around what is actually happenning and what needs to be done to ensure that the overarching needs of the business and organization are actively met and protected ethically and proactively with measurable outcomes.
Benefits of the CPDSO accredited course include:
– 6.5 CPD points accruable after successful participation. These learning points can be submitted as part of the learning contribution to professional certifications as applicable
– 4 hours of Group coaching over 3 months after the course has been concluded
– Opportunity to join an ongoing learning cohort after the coaching/training period is over.
This was the first cohort of SA&A’s accredited course. It is the first of a suite of courses that the training and consulting firm aims to launch in 2024.
