SA&A Concludes 3rd Cohort of Strategic Communications Course

June 28, 2024: Sola Abulu & Associates (SA&A) has announced the completion of the 3rd cohort of its CPDSO-Accredited Strategic Communications Course held online on Thursday, June 27, 2024.

According to Sola Abulu, Principal Consultant and Course Facilitator:

We are very thankful to have successfully completed the 3rd cohort of this course, which is the foundational curriculum for all of our courses. This course is the baseline course because it focuses on teaching the rudimentary principles and concepts of strategic communications that is applicable to diverse contexts and sectors. In previous cohorts, we have had a lot of interest from the business and commercial sector but I am pleased to see that practitioners in the development space are also beginning to take interest in the course. We teach how to develop a communications strategy from scratch and how to integrate stakeholder management into the process to ensure that your strategy is tailored and effective.

The course was attended by professionals and practitioners from the development sector, public and private sector including energy, tech and finance. There was a lot of focus on the strategic communications framework and application for internal communications context.

Some of the comments/feedback from the participants:

I have learnt that strategic communications skills are transferable across sectors and if you understand the principles, then you can work in any sector.”

The course is also an eye opener that internal communications is an opportunity space”

“Communications is a topic that is so difficult to teach because it is very hands-on. It is amazing that you have practical steps and templates on how to develop a communications strategy and follow a strategic communication strategy development process and this provides a guideline that practioners can learn from..”
